Online referrals to TAS

We are improving and simplifying the process for referring patients to the Therapeutic Apheresis Service (TAS) by introducing an online referral form for clinicians in January 2026.

The form is part of a new online portal, TAS Connect, for TAS nurses and staff which digitises our care provision.

We will be asking clinicians for their feedback on the online referral process to help us improve the staff portal.

How to make an online referral

To make an online referral clinicians need to request a TAS referral on the How to refer a patient webpage.

From 13 January 2026 online referrals are only available for PEX in Bristol. For other TAS treatments and units clinicians should continue to use a paper referral form, also available on the 'How to refer a patient' webpage.
