Haematology - If you require Therapeutic Apheresis for haematological conditions please contact the organisations / departments as listed below:
Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP) – For patients with suspected TTP / Microangiopathic Haemolytic Anaemia (MAHA) please contact Haematology at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital for advice and access to therapeutic apheresis if required. Red Cell Exchange – For patients with sickle cell disease please contact Haematology at the Manchester Royal Infirmary for advice (red cell team during working hours, general haematology on call out of hours).
Hyperviscosity – NHS Blood and Transplant or tertiary haemato-oncology care provider if clinical support required.
Leucodepletion - NHS Blood and Transplant or tertiary haemato-oncology care provider if clinical support required.
Renal conditions / vasculitides – NHS Blood and Transplant (Royal Preston)
Neurological conditions – NHS Blood and Transplant (Royal Preston)
Extracorporeal Photopheresis: Contact your tertiary provider for haemato-oncology for advice and access to therapeutic apheresis if required.
