NHS England sickle cell and thalassaemia blood group genotyping test - patient referral and programme extension

Earlier this month, we advised we are working closely with NHS England to secure additional funding to support testing beyond June 2025. We are pleased to announce we have successfully secured this funding and will provide testing free of charge until 2 January 2026.

Please advise all healthcare professionals who refer patients for this test.
