RCI will be ending concession to accept expired tubes

In Autumn 2021 RCI labs received a large number of samples collected into expired tubes which coincided with restricted supply of tubes to the NHS.

We implemented a process deviation at that time to facilitate processing and reduce the costs of individual sample concessions. The number of expired sample tubes received has now returned to normal so we will remove the process deviation on 6 June 2022.

After that date, any samples we receive that have been collected into expired tubes will be managed under the normal concession process.
