Molecular Diagnostics - rejected samples

In a bid to ensure that samples are accepted by Molecular Diagnostics, we have produced a graph (if you require an accessible version please contact erika.rutherford@nhsbt.nhs.uk) to use with your teams.

We reject about >2000 samples per year. The highest rejected sample numbers are in the following categories: 

• Discrepancies between sample and request form
• Insufficient sample
• Sample already tested
• Incorrect or no Expected Delivery Date
