EDTA tube size for fetal RHD screening

We’d like to remind hospital colleagues that the automated process we introduced in March 2022 requires hospitals to send us a single tube, minimum of 6mL, for testing samples. From 1 November, we will not  accept 4mL or smaller (even if several tubes are provided) simply because these need to be processed manually.   

We’re pleased to advise also, as a result of the automation, our testing time is now, faster, with fewer errors.
