The theme for 2023-2024 is the investigation of Pan-reactive case studies.  

The Masterclass is an interactive day (09:30 - 16:30) sharing learning of complex transfusion science practice. It is delivered via Zoom and is a great CPD opportunity. It will comprise of a selection of interactive case studies delivered by RCI and the Scientific and Clinical Training and Education team. Topics include anti-CD-38 and anti-CD47 patients, drug-induced, anti-HI, antibodies to high-incidence antigens and multiple antibodies.

This is aimed at band 6 and higher scientists. It is an advanced course and not suitable for people new to transfusion science.

A University of West of England (UWE) course designed for NHS staff training to Masters level is in development. It will be delivered through a blended learning delivery in a partnership between NHSBT and UWE from from September 2021.
