The Non Clinical Issue (NCI) team provides expert support to product development professionals and researchers requiring access to blood, blood components, cells and tissue from healthy human donors.
We offer unparalleled access to donated material from small volume samples to units of whole blood, specialist therapeutic services for apheresis and related procedures, and to multiple sources of material, through the not-for-profit model.
Our laboratories are regulated by the Human Tissue Authority (HTA) and accredited by JACIE; the Joint Accreditation Committee International Society for Cell & Gene Therapy, and the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT). They also have a Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) licence for collection, testing and processing of blood and investigational medicinal product (IMP). We have a national network of facilities governed by a single quality management system.
With 10 national supply centres supporting 3 manufacturing centres across England, we are able to supply non clinical issue (NCI) materials throughout the UK, EU, and internationally. We also supply to the UK’s leading scientific development hubs.
