Introduction To Blood And Transplant Services

A one day course aimed at improving basic knowledge of the National Blood Service and Blood Centres.

Introduction To Reference Blood And Transplant

A one day course to provide a theoretical overview of the reference services within NHSBT and how they specifically meet the NHSBT core purpose.

Transfusion Matters

A one day course to provide basic theoretical information in blood transfusion for those who have little or no prior knowledge of Transfusion Science.

Quality Assurance in the Laboratory Environment

A one day course or two half days. Professionalism in testing and quality control for NHSBT staff and hospital based healthcare professionals.

Practical Introduction To Transfusion Science

A five day course to provide basic theoretical information and an introduction to routine practical techniques.

Specialist Transfusion Science Practice

A choice of a four day complete or a one day or a two day modular course to provide intermediate theoretical / practical information relating to more complex aspects of transfusion science.

Note: Manchester courses have two 2-day modules: HDFN followed by Antibodies

Advanced Specialist Transfusion Science

A two-day course to provide advanced transfusion science theoretical information on a variety of transfusion topics.

Transfusion Science/Medicine Update

A one-day course to inform participants of the clinical and laboratory processes that follow certain untoward effects of transfusion.

Essential Transfusion Medicine / Intermediate Transfusion Medicine (New Format)
