This document provides details of therapeutic blood components currently supplied to Hospitals. In addition to a comprehensive matrix of the constituents of each component, it covers information on component specifications, component identification barcodes, quality standards, quality monitoring, storage and handling, clinical indications and contraindications, specialist requirements, dosage, administration, recognition of adverse effects and a Material Safety Data Sheet.
NB In version 3 we have ensured that all component names indicate that the product has been leucocyte depleted.
