The Red Cell Immunohaematology laboratories provide reference investigations and antenatal screening services.
Reference Investigations
Samples are referred by colleagues from external diagnostics laboratories for further investigation of serological problems.
Antenatal Screening
The NBS provides a routine screening service for testing pregnant women. Both red cell serology and microbiology screening is available and is carried out according to the Department of Health guidelines.
